Kuvasz Clubs
In North America, there is one "official" AKC (American Kennel Club) Kuvasz club, Kuvasz Club of America, and one "official" CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) Kuvasz club, Kuvasz Club of Canada. There are also two independent clubs in the U.S., American Kuvasz Association and Kuvasz Fanciers of America. Each club has its own preference for type and its own views on how best to serve the breed and its members. There is so little information on the Kuvasz written in English, that often the best source of the latest information, especially health concerns, are the Kuvasz club newsletters. Contact each club and join the one(s) that seems to meet your needs. Kuvasz Fanciers of America is the only Kuvasz club in the U.S. which promotes and supports the true, historic Hungarian Kuvasz.

Unfortunately, there are no recently published books in English that are easily available and specifically written about the Kuvasz. A Kuvasz owner hungry for anything and everything she could find would have the following in her library:
A Kuvasz Hodosi Jozsef, (1996) MEOE Hungaria Kuvasz Klub. This 1996 book is in Hungarian and is available along with the English translation of the text as a supplement through the International Kuvasz Book Project .
